Zetta Alderman

Ballet

Zetta Alderman began her career as a performing artist in Houston, Texas at the age of eight! Alderman trained with Patsy Swayze and Humphreys School of Musical Theatre in Dance, Stage and Film Acting, Musical Theatre & Vocal Arts.  Her youth included performing with; Houston Jazz Ballet Company, Theatre Under the Stars, Actors Theatre of Houston, Casa Mañana Ft Worth, Texas. Local Television productions on KPRC TV, numerous Local, Regional and National Commercials as well as Radio and Voice-Over work. She attended the High School of Performing and Visual Arts, Houston, Texas. Alderman is proud to say she began her NYC career with the legendary "Luigi Jazz Dance Company" at the age of 16. Her most memorable performance credits include touring with the first international company of "A Chorus Line" and appearing in the film "Urban Cowboy" with John Travolta. Alderman founded her own dance/performing arts school in Colorado in 1991, and the Colorado Jazz Dance Company the following year. CJDC alumni have received scholarships to prestigious Universities and continue to enjoy performing arts careers all over the world. She has directed and choreographed for Theatre Under the Stars, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, UCCS TheatreWorks, Colorado Springs Conservatory, Broadway Theatre Project, St Pete Opera, Opera Theatre of the Rockies, and the Vocal Arts Festival with Martile Rowland. Alderman is so excited to be part of the amazing faculty of BESD, training the next generation of dancers.
